As a user, you can also add a number of news items as a list on a page. The following steps explain how you can add such a list to your page.
Navigate to the page where you want to place the block.
Click on the “Layout” block on the page to adjust the layout of the page, as shown below.
Navigate to the place where you want to add the block. Click there on “Add block”
A new screen will appear on the right side of the screen. Search there in the search bar for “list component”. Click on the result you find.
You now get an overview with all settings to make a list. Complete the following fields:
When using multiple news item lists, it is important that you indicate a keyword or generic word that will then display all news items with a similar tag in the list.
It is also useful that you filter based on Content type. If you only want to place news items on your list, you only need to select news items there.
If you do not check anything, the CMS will search for every page type.
You can also tick a display mode. This determines how you want to display the news items. For example, you can choose to display only the title, or you can choose a summary. The choice is entirely up to the user.
In addition, you can also choose how many elements your list can contain at most. You can have your list display an infinite number of elements.
Finally, you have the option to sort your list. Sorting orders are provided for this (see below):
When you sort by creation date, you sort based on the date on which you created the news item.
You also have the option to sort by publication date. You can sort here based on the date you have indicated on your news item.
When the settings are complete, you can add the block to the page.
